The Washington Times is seeking a Senior Editor to manage and cultivate a diverse group of reporters and freelance writers to produce spot and exclusive stories on news concerning national security, foreign policy, the U.S. military, defense industry and global developments. The ideal editor, who must have journalism expertise in both foreign policy and national security, is responsible for producing content for the daily newspaper as well as for the website. The editor should be able to help reporters identify and produce content that regularly commands attention on all digital and print platforms. The editor also must be skilled in helping reporters tell stories in print as well as on audio and video. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of ten (10) years of news reporting and editing experience on foreign and national security issues and a demonstrated record of excellent editorial copy. This job is based Washington, D.C working in DC office.
